"My artwork reflects a passion to shape order out of chaos - to start with bits of thread and create something complex and satisfying where nothing existed before. As I create, I embrace and celebrate the ancient heritage and language of woven cloth. The rhythms and interplay of pattern, color and texture fascinate me, and the tactile quality of the actual fiber is extremely satisfying. I thrive on the challenges and opportunities presented to me as I move forward to explore new and interesting possibilities."

What They’re Saying . . .

“What a wonderful weekend--the Introduction to Weaving! I learned so much, enjoyed such a rich immersion into an art form I had never been brave enough to try, and came away inspired to continue the weaving journey! Cameron is a patient and kind teacher who brings out the vision and creativity of the students. Thank you Cameron!”

“On a recent visit to the Branch Gallery in Inglewood, I came across Cameron's work. The show was made up of a few dozen pieces, mainly mixed media featuring weaving, photography, fabric. It was so beautiful; I really was momentarily breathless. The interplay among the sheer fabric and photos and weaving was compelling. It was a reminder that even moments that you capture on film are fleeting and delicate and sheer and open to interpretation and so each of us should hold onto moments that matter and tell the stories that we recall from them. Just wow.”

Cameron Taylor-Brown was the juror for FiberWorks 2017, the 39th annual fiber art show of Oklahoma artists, sponsored by the Fiber Artists of Oklahoma. Using the mission statement of the organization as her foundation she selected a show that truly represented the best, the broadest and most innovative fiber art being produced in Oklahoma. A pleasure to work with, a professional in her attention to detail, and a knowledgeable and enthusiastic supporter of the fiber arts, I would highly recommend her.
